WELCOME TO GREAT LAKES PEARL DRAGONS

Come and paddle with us on the beautiful Wallis Lake!  We are regularly within a boat's length of playful dolphins.  View the most breath-taking sunrises, feel the warmth of the sun, the touch of the breeze and be occasionally refreshed by an odd drop of rain. Experience all this whilst enjoying our sport, in either a competitive or social manner.

We welcome all genders over the age of 10 years and all abilities. Some of us like the competitive nature of the racing; others like to paddle for the exercise and being part of a team.  There is something for everyone at the Great Lakes Pearl Dragons.

We have paddlers who have competed in local, regional, state, national and international regattas. In the past, our teams have competed in New Zealand, Hawaii, Borneo and Hong Kong.  Our active Executive Committee continues to research and present travel options to other destinations.

We are located at the corner of Little and Mark Street, Forster and our Boat Shed is next to Graham Barclay Oysters. We train on Monday evening, and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.

Come and try! New paddlers are encouraged to come along on a Saturday, at 7:00am for the 7:30am paddling session. Being there a bit early is essential so we can give you some on-land instruction before getting into the boat. We offer five free paddling sessions before you need to decide to join Great Lakes Pearl Dragons - and we hope you will!!!
